Locally sourced from free-range flocks. Minimally processed to preserve the natural lanolin. Dense enough to insulate. Open enough to breathe. Wool is the only material that does both.
You may notice slight variation in texture between pieces. This is not inconsistency. It is evidence of a real material, touched by real hands.
How it's made
Hand-cut.
Hand-stitched.
Hand-finished.
Each hat begins as a flat piece of pressed wool felt. It is cut by hand, not die-cut, not machine stamped. The seams are stitched by the same hands. The brim edge is finished by feel, not by template.
This means no two are perfectly identical. We consider that a feature. Slight imperfection is proof of humanity.
Rozika, our grandmother, has been doing this for decades. She is the reason any of this exists.

Common Questions
Before you buy.
Our hats are made with a generous fit and natural stretch, one size fits most adult heads. The felt is slightly forgiving and will shape gently to your head over the first few uses. If you have an unusually large or small head, please reach out before ordering.
Hand wash in cold water with a gentle wool detergent, or machine wash at 30°C on a gentle/delicate cycle. Do not tumble dry, the heat will felt the wool further and shrink the hat. Reshape while damp and lay flat to dry. After a few washes it will feel softer and more personal.
Yes, traditional Finnish sauna (löyly), infrared saunas, steam rooms, and hammam. The hat works best in dry and wet heat. In steam rooms it will absorb more moisture but continue to protect. In infrared the hat reduces radiant heat reaching the crown of your head.
Years. Wool felt is remarkably durable. Unlike synthetic materials that degrade in heat, natural wool improves with use, the fibres compress and interlock. Some customers have had their hats for a decade. Care for it correctly and it will outlast trend cycles several times over.
